My name is Elton Baptiste and I am a music composer from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I graduated from Full Sail University with a Bachelor's of Science in Music Production.
I started playing the piano at the age of 5 and the trumpet at the age of 13. At the age of 11, I started playing the piano for my home church. My process of making music started at the age of 12. It started off as making jingles and silly songs, Then progressed to releasing my first song in 2016, at the age of 17.
I find that what is important to me stems from surrounding myself with people that will add positivity to my life. I keep a close group of friends and family that push me towards being the best version of myself. I work hard so that I can provide for the ones who have taken a chance on me and invested in my dreams.
When it comes to music, I love the fact that I create a connection with people even if they do not speak the same language. Music gives me the opportunity to express myself in a language that is versatile. I love the fact I can translate how I feel into art that other people may be able to relate to. Music has the ability to hold a memory.
I create music because throughout my life I have found it difficult to express myself using words. Music has allowed me to channel my feelings and emotions into a piece of art. It allows me to tell a story that I can express to other people in order to create a connection through emotions.
